This week Susan is hosting the OLW Challenge, and she has incorporated the theme into her "Gratitude Campaign".
When I first read about the Gratitude Campaign on Susan's blog last year, I remember thinking "what a wonderful idea"! Expressing gratutude is something I need to do more often.
To read about the Gratitude Campaign from Susan herself, click here.
After reading the sentiment on my card, you probably think I don't know the difference between Love and Gratitude. I really do.... This card is for a certain someone, and the handwritten message inside will express my gratitude. It's a fine line, I know ( I hope the OLW Patrol isn't watching)!
I plan to post another card later in the week, using a more appropriate gratitude sentiment. This wonderful campaign of Susan's needs to be promoted. Like she said " It's way more fun than politics and nicer too"!
I hope you'll think about sending a few cards out this year, to people in your life that you are grateful for.
I am also linking this card to Less is More. This week their challenge is a One-Layer card with Foliage. How perfect is that?
Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin'Up~Fall Whimsy (retired, sorry), Senntiment~Stampibilities, Ink: Memento~Peanut Butter, Papertrey Ink~ Ripe Avocado, Tombo Marker #837 (for Spritzing), Paper: Stampin'Up
Whisper White, Accessories: Score Pal, Post-It Notes for Masking, Stampin'Up Spritzer
Wonderful card - and I don't think there is a difference between love and gratitude. (although you may be thankful to someone you don't necessarily love, you're showing love by showing gratitude - does that make sense? lol! I'll have to give that some more thought!)
ReplyDeleteA fab CAS foliage card. x
ReplyDeleteThis looks just great Cheryl, the spatters add such interest.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much

Aw, sugar, you made this card for ME?! Seriously, it's really awesome, Cheryl! I love the balance, the speckles, and even the sentiment because just like with the word "family," love and gratitude go hand-in-hand. Well done!
ReplyDeletePretty card. I agree - everyone could stand to be more grateful, and to make more grateful cards!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Terry

"Less is More"
love can be an expression of gratitude...we love people not only for who they are but for how they treat us and do for us too...i love the leaf and the scoring adds dimension without bulk or taking away from it...the speckles are just the right touch too
ReplyDeleteI like that scoring!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Love the embossed frame-simple yet it really sets off the image.
