OLW87 - Think Outside The Box

Friday, May 11, 2012

Jennifer is hosting the OLW challenge this week.  Her challenge is to make a shaped card. Anything but a square or rectangle.  I immediately went for my Nestibilities!

While my paper, ink and ribbon sat on the workroom table, I thought I heard them scream "enclosure card"! You know, the smaller cards you use to find in the department stores (at the gift wrapping counter) or at the florist Shop.  These gift enclosure cards were usually 2.5 x 3.5, a rectangle and anything rectangle or square is off the table for this challenge.  This little sweetie is approximately 3.75 round.

I really prefer a white inside for my cards, however, in saying that, the soft pink gingham is growing on me.

I plan to make a few more of these shaped cards to have on hand for the weeks ahead.  With the end of school so near and some thank you gifts to give, these smaller shaped cards will come in  very handy.

Supplies:
Stamps:  A Muse
Paper:  My Minds Eye
Ink:  Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories:  Nestibilities, Cuttlebug, Stamp Positioner, Ribbon

  1. That's a great nestibility shape for a little card! I think the gingham inside looks cool and if you write in black, you have your lines all ready for you to follow!

  5. Hi Cheryl,

Your thank you card is fabulous and I do like the soft pink gingham inside - something different for a change and goes nicely with your pretty bow.

  8. Very sweet and I think the gingham is the perfect touch! Great idea to use something other than white as a card base (or even one colour!)
